How can I be sure that my photographs and videos will be secure in the mail?
If you live or work in the Greater Boston area, we would be happy to make arrangements to collect your material in person at your home or office. You are also welcome to deliver it to us. A third option is to send your material via an express mail service with a tracking system.
I have 8mm and 16mm film that I would like to get transferred to video. Do you offer that service?
Reflection Films does not provide this service directly, but we have a partnership with a trusted lab that does film-to-video transfer.
What role does the client play in the production of the video?
As the client, you always play an important role in the production of your video. We usually recommend three sessions together. In the first session, we meet at your home or office for an initial creative briefing. The following two meetings, again at your home or office, are opportunities for you to review and make changes to drafts of your video before the final DVD is delivered.
What kind of music will you use?
You choose and provide the music that you would like for us to use.
How long will the final product be?
For all of our services, we work with you to best determine the length of your DVD, how many interviews to include, which photographs and video clips to highlight, and other important details. For each client, we draft a proposal outlining the anticipated process and outcome.
Can the final product be in a different format than DVD?
Yes. We can also deliver a VHS copy, if requested.
How long will it take to receive the final product?
The answer depends upon the scope of the project. If the DVD is needed for a specific event, it is a good idea to plan ahead. Producing a Shoebox Video usually requires at least a week, and a Film Biography takes several weeks.
How much do your services cost?
Prices vary depending upon a variety of factors, including but not limited to: the number and type of interviews (for Film Biographies and Pet Stories), the amount of images to be used, and the desired length of the DVD. Please call to discuss the details.

Can you help us organize our collection of print and digital photographs?
To save you time (and perhaps give you motivation!), we would be happy to help you organize your collection. We can discuss what strategies make the most sense for you, so that the task is manageable, not overwhelming.
